Since being pregnant and bringing two happy, energetic boys (now ages 7 years and 4.5 years old) and recently a sweet baby girl (2 years old) into the world, Dr. Becky Wooster, PT, DPT wholeheartedly appreciates the awesomeness of the woman's body. After personally experiencing 3 very different prenatal to postnatal periods, Becky is strongly drawn to play a role in pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum by providing physical therapy to mothers across the life spectrum. Becky continually gains formal education in women’s health and orthopedic physical therapy, enjoys reading about all things birth and baby, and is also connected with the Austin birthing community. With her background in orthopedic PT, being a yoga teacher for 15 years, her experience as a “new mom” x3, and her continual desire to learn, she is growing a much needed business niche of pregnancy and postpartum PT. Because there is a lack of maternal and postpartum care in the United States versus other developed countries, her passion is to educate women about their bodies to allow for the best possible pregnancy, labor, delivery, and postpartum experience. She treats the body as a whole with minimally invasive and natural techniques and never examines a woman for only her pelvic floor.
